"It’s Showtime” …everything you need to know about the annual recital!

 

There is a tremendous amount of time and effort that goes into producing the annual performance. In the past we have provided individual packets for students to bring home with many pages of information. Sometimes the information got home...sometimes it didn't and the cost of producing the printed material was significant. This year we will once again be emailing updates to student families and directing everyone to the web site for information. We have determined that almost all of our families have email addresses on file with us and therefore have access to the internet. The result is information and show details that you can access at any time to read, reference or print if you choose to do so.

This year we will have four shows, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. The show assignments are completed and they are posted at the studio. We have also posted the dances that will be in each show and the rehearsal schedule. Your primary resource for show information will be via our email distribution list. Information will also be available on the website on the “It’s Showtime” page. The bulletin board, at the studio, will also be used to update you on show information. The show assignments, order of dance and dress requirements will be posted there. Please get in the habit of checking the board. We have scheduled set-up and Competition Team Rehearsals at the Amato Theater at the Boys and Girls Club in Milford for June 22nd and shows for June 23rd  and 24th.  Additional rehearsal times are posted and are on the website. There will be a dress rehearsal, at the theatre, before each show.

Recital Tickets

    On-line Ticket Sales

 

 

 

Show tickets will be going on sale beginning Saturday, May 19th.

This year we will be introducing a new and more efficient ticket processing system. Ticket sales will be on-line via the internet. There will be no "deli tickets", waiting lines, multiple sales times, different lines for each show  or rushes to get a place in line. You will be able to purchase tickets from the comfort of your home, day or night, using your computer, iPad or whatever. You will be able to select the seats you want and receive a printout of your selection. just like the airlines! Tickets may only be purchased with a credit or debit card. All tickets will be $15.00. We are in the process of developing the detaile and we will send them out as an email when they are ready.

AND REMEMBER…all accounts must be paid in full before you purchase tickets. We will be sending a final statement to everyone with a balance. Please do not assume the statement is wrong and ignore it. If you have a balance you believe is incorrect please contact  us immediatelyso we may resolve it. More information will be coming to you via email. Please make sure your email address is correct in our database. If you do not have an email address please check your account status at the desk.

Shout outs, Kudos and Advertising!     This year we will be offering parents, friends and business associates the opportunity to purchase space in the Show Program. You may choose a one line shout out for you performer or you may want a business card ad, quarter page or even a full page. We are developing the process and data sheet and will have it available shortly. If you are interested please let us know and you will be given priority placement and pricing.

The summer schedule is here!

 

The summer schedule is available and this year it is filled with opportunities for all students. There is a an additional intensive camp for Kidz and " Try it Days"  to experience other opportunities, We will have day camps as well as a three-week session of classes.  There are guest instructors, intensive workouts, a performance showcase, crafts and games and many new opportunities for students of all ages and ability levels. Check ‘em out! Please read the schedule carefully and enroll before classes are full. Last year everyone had a terrific time!

Tights, shoes and leotard requirements - A list of requirements for tights or socks and shoes will soon be posted upon  the studio bulletin board.  It will also be posted on the web. The list also includes the type and color of the required shoes.  Please be sure to check to see what you will need.  AND REMEMBER...tights were NOT INCLUDED with costumes this year. You will need to provide appropriate tights for your dancer.

 We also ask that all dancers be properly attired with the appropriate shoes.  Our last shoe order for the year will be made on in early June.. If you do not have the right color shoes you are not required to purchase new ones however any new shoes that are purchased should be the proper color. AND REMEMBER the backstage changing area is not particularly enclosed. In order to prevent embarrassment, any female student with a costume change in the show (NOT Kidz classes) is required to wear a neutral colored leotard under their costume. Leotards may be purchased at any retail store or they may be ordered from Broadway Bound at a cost of $18.00.

 

Picture Days, June 2nd and 3rd

 

Pictures will once again be taken by Peter Noel Dance Photographers at the studio on June 2nd and 3rd.  The schedule will be posted on the bulletin board at the studio and a Picture Day Schedule will be posted on the website as well Order forms are available at the studio and you will also find an Order form on the website soon.  Professional, studio photographs are a wonderful keepsake that lasts forever.

 

Souvenir T-Shirts - We are about to place the final order for this years custom recital t-shirts. The shirts show the recital date, The shirts will be yellow with blue and black print and may be purchased for $16.00.. All orders are prepaid in cash or by check to avoid excessive credit card processing fees.  Delivery takes about two weeks. 

Be sure to include shirt size. You must place your order by May 14th.

Show Video - Want a professional show video! Once again we have contracted with Via Vision to produce a high quality DVD at a very reasonable price. Orders placed prior to the show are $30.00.  After June 24th they are $35.00. We have a minimum order requirement so save money and order right away! 

Check the Bulletin Board for your show assignments. Wanna know what show you are in? Check the Board. For security reasons this information is NOT available on-line.

ALSO: Be sure your name is spelled correctly sine it is posted as we have it in our database for the show program.

These Huggable and Cuddly Teddy Bears have been providing kids memories and moments of their Dance Recital since 2000. The Bears are dressed in their own costume and personalized for each and every child. This special bond has been creating memories that last forever. The company, Bear Necessities takes pride in bringing a quality service that the whole family can share and cherish for years to come. The price of the bear is $26.95 and includes the personalized outfit, embroidered studio information and the date. Setup and shipping are also included. The child's name may also be added for an additional $6.00. A sample bear is available at the studio for you to take a look at. Orders must be placed no later than May 25th.

The Studio will be closed Monday, May 30th in recognition of  Memorial Day

   Parents Night Out

Saturday, May 12th 6:00pm to 9:00pm, $10:00      Sign up at the desk.

Kids Dance Party! We'll watch them for you. You go out and have some time together.

 Fall schedule - The fall schedule will be available soon.  If you have any questions as to what classes you should take, please feel free to ask. Remember that each student generally moves up a level. For example, if a child is in Jazz I this year you should register for Jazz II in the fall.  Please register early to guarantee enrollment in the class you want.  There are many exciting changes taking place so do not delay.  Once again, no registration fee will be charged to any student who registers before June 30th. The studio continues to grow and our reputation attracts the interest of many in the community. Please do not delay!  We are trying to give every opportunity to our current students however, class size is limited.
