              Broadway Bound and Ameri-Kids

Broadway Bound is pleased to announce a significant upgrade to its baton twirling program as it partners with Ameri-Kids Baton and Dance Studio of Auburn, NH.

Ameri-Kids has a prestigious history dating to 1987 and was re-established in 1998 with only 2 students. Today it is recognized as one of the leading baton twirling schools in New England. The Owner and Director of Ameri-Kids, Darcy Beirne, has over 20 years of twirling and dance experience. She attended Johnson and Wales University on a full baton twirling scholarship. Darcy has directed the Ameri-Kids to multiple State, Regional, and International titles and has finished in the top 5 in national competition. They have won state titles in New Hampshire, New York an Massachusetts. Darcy has also directed State and Open contests.

Ameri-Kids have performed locally at the Manchester Monarchs professional hockey games and at the TD Garden before the Boston Celtics fans. They have marched in numerous parades and events throughout New England. Check out all of their accomplishments and appearances on their website at

Having staff and multiple facilities covering south east New Hampshire will significantly benefit all of our students. Top quality instruction will be available without a significant commute and the best facilities will be available to enhance student skills.

We want to thank Nicole Drake for her help in bringing us through this transition period and we are so very excited to be partnering with Darcy Beirne and the Ameri-Kids team.

Baton Twirling is a sport that encourages self confidence, quick thinking, coordination, team work, positive attitude, self expression, and gracefulness. It is available to students of all ages and skill levels.

Classes Available

All students are taught a combination of baton twirling and dance as well as basic marching skills and a parade routine.

§  Baton I is for beginner students who seek to develop basic skills and technique.. Students will learn to twirl, carry and March. As skills develop students may be  invited to join one of the competition teams.

§  Team Baton is for students who have graduated from Baton I and want to continue to take baton at a completive level.

§  Ballet for Baton teaches the ballet techniques needed to create a sound foundation for baton twirling.

Private lessons are also available for any student that would like one-on-one personal attention for help with difficult moves, preparation for the next level class and  choreograph solo routines for competition.  Every student may choose to benefit from private lessons. Private lessons also open the door to other twirling specialties such as flag and 2/3 baton and the opportunity to participate in solo competition.

Competition Team

Competition is a great way to showcase all the work that the students have put into performing their team routine.  Our Broadway Bound Competition team twirlers have been competing since 2006 and they have won numerous awards at the state and regional level.  Truly hard work really does pay off!  Congratulations twirlers!

Solo Competition

Students who wish to enter competition as a soloist should contact the teacher routines geared toward showcasing the individual’s strengths in competition with other soloists in the New England region. Students may choose to specialize in  twirling one  baton, two batons, flags, and/or compete in the pageantry group.
